My most favourite startup feedback. Specific enough?

As we are in the middle of the process of performance reviews, I am coming back to my most favourite literature and studying the best practices again. I do not want to end up with this vague “Good Job” kind of feedback.

Productive feedback and guidance are vital forms of communication that can advance the performance and success of team members, which in turn boosts business results. When done with respect and candor, this fosters self-esteem, trust, and a culture of continuous learning and growth.

I provided some tips above (🙊) but also below (🤓). You decide which suits you the most!

Other pretty readings around performance reviews 💁🏻‍♀️

Designation, levels and calibrations by Will Larson — probably my most favourite Engineering manager yet not working at productboard 🙋🏻‍♀️

Progression.fyi — while putting our first performance management framework into the place we got inspired by this open-source of frameworks that are used by the coolest companies.

Professional development framework by Clearleft one of the most simple versions I have seen so far. Just like that — in Trello. Could work for early startups well.
